Congratulations to Supportive Housing Communities (SHC), led by Executive Director and WE member, Pamela Jefsen, for receiving Leadership Charlotte's annual Community Service Award on May 11. SHC was honored for enriching and improving the quality of life in the Charlotte area through creative and innovative community service.

On Friday, May 18, WE Members Sonya BarnesMarcia ConstonKandi DeitemeyerDena Diorio and Holly Stubbing were honored at the Mecklenburg Times 2018 50 Most Influential
Woman Awards.  WE Members and past winners Colleen Brannan, Dianne Bailey and Moira Quinn presented the awards.

WE Member Colleen Brannan has been named Vice Chair of the SHARE Charlotte Board of Directors.  SHARE Charlotte is a local one-stop shop for the community to find ways to plug in and make an impact

WE member Regina Y. Wharton was the keynote speaker at the conference Mobilizing the Power of YOU held at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for the African-American Arts on Saturday, April 20.
WE member Sharon Blumberg spoke about "Aging, Retirement and Reinvention" at the CLT Boomer Expo, presented by The Charlotte Observer, on Saturday, April 28.
